We are finally getting settled in our new home in Charlotte and it has only taken me two weeks to start to get the interior decorating itch. Well, I think that actually started the day we found this house! But over the weekend, in between soccer, gymnastics, WORK, and laundry….I managed to get a few things accomplished…..sort of.
Our kitchen has some really neat features, one of them being this great cookbook shelf end cap on our center island. Since I am not the chef of the house my only reason for addressing this space is purely so that it looks nice:) And I realized just how sad my cookbook library actually is!
One day I will hope to fill these shelves but it may be a few years, since this happened in less than 30 seconds…
My next project was definitely out of Campbell’s reach! I got the urge to hang something on our walls and I just couldn’t resist. I will admit that there are a couple of extra holes in that wall now but my bird panel art work is up in Charlotte!
I am really excited about Fall fast approaching so while I am trying to get our house pulled together, I am trying to incorporate some tasteful seasonal decorating opportunities in my accessories. This console table is very visible and we use it every day as this is where our keys go and where I place things that are to be loaded up for my next outing. It also became a landing zone for a few stray items during the move.
I’m not sure how the white garden stool ended up here but I kind of like it! But this poor wall is in need of some help! I am trying out my cows to see how they look and I’ve started on my second ever Pinterest project. It is far from done but I will keep you posted!
I am happy with my weekend progress but I am very excited about the work week ahead. I have several client installations and new projects to begin. I will keep y’all in the decorating loop!
Hope y’all had a great weekend too!
