Christmas Traditions

Tis the Season to Deck the Halls and Enjoy Time with Family!

The halls have been decked in the Clement household! Throughout the year, our home is decorated in a neutral color palette with rustic glam elements sprinkled in. The holidays are always a fun time to bring out new and old decorations to create a magical wonderland for my two girls.

For the Clement family, Christmas time is so much more than placing pretty decorations throughout the home, it is about celebrating our favorite time of the season with one another.

After the home is decorated, it’s time to begin making memories. Follow along for my favorite Christmas Sugar Cookie Recipe that I make each year with my two girls.

This recipe is simple and easy to make at home, even if you’re not an expert in the kitchen, and you should already have all the ingredients already in your home (see the full recipe below).

Christmas Sugar Cookie Recipe

3 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flower

1/2 t Salt

1/4 t Baking Powder

1 1/2 Sticks Unsalted Butter

1/ 1/2 Cups Sugar

2 Large Eggs

2 T Vanilla

Preheat Oven: 350 degrees

Directions: Whisk flour, salt & baking powder together. Beat together softened butter and sugar at medium speed. Add the vanilla and eggs. With your mixer on low speed add flour mixture to butter mixture a little bit at a time until it is all combined. Make into 2 balls, wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least an hour. Roll out dough on a floured surface cut into shapes. Bake 12 - 13 minutes. When cool frost and ENJOY!

Don’t forget the hot coco! Display your favorite mugs to grab and go when you’re ready to enjoy a seasonal drink with the Christmas cookies.
