Fall 2020 One Room Challenge: Week 4

I've been able to spend the past week enjoying time at Fall High Point Market. While this market was quite different than previous markets where we were able to gather with industry friends, network, and attend social events, it was so refreshing to be back at market meeting with vendors and being able to touch and feel new products.

At this point in my design process, I have all but finalized the selections but am still waiting on a few accessories to finish the space. As I headed to High Point, I knew this would be the perfect time to check in with a few of my trusted vendors to select accessories as finishing touches to my family retreat.

Uttermost (IHFC - C448, Commerce, Floor 4) - Truly a one-stop-shop for high-end accessories. I was able to check a lot off the list here. From sculptures and vases to succulents and aloe planters, so many good things to choose from.

E. Lawrence Ltd. (Suites At Market Square - G-1010, G-4001, Ground) - E. Lawrence Ltd. is a great source for decorative books and I couldn't help but fall in love with this set.

Global Views (IHFC - D213, D220, Design Center, Floor 2) - Last stop, Global Views to select frames. I ended up choosing the Facet Cluster Frames along with the Brass Frames to display family photos.

After all of the accessories were sourced, I had to stop by Crystorama's NEW showroom (IHFC H-241) to check in on my Jayna Chandelier - isn't she fabulous?!

I took a break from sourcing products to check in with our friends at Charleston Forge to film a new segment - "The Long and the Short of It - Back at High Point Market October 2020" with Charleston Forge's Product Designer, Wilson Keel.

Pro Tip: Don't let the name High Point Furniture Market fool you...we all know market has an impressive selection of food and beverages! This year things were a bit different since the showrooms couldn't have catered food out to keep everyone safe but you can't forget the large selection of food trucks. Wilson and I even took a moment to debate our favorite food truck.

Thank you for following along on this process with me! If you're new to the blog, here are links to Weeks 1-3 (Week 1, Week 2, Week 3) and don't forget to check in on my Instagram Stories to catch behind-the-scenese details on the design process.
