It’s time to give the exterior of your home a “facelift”! We’ve all spent the last couple of months inside and now that we’re approaching summer, it’s time to get outside to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.
Prepping your outdoor space for maximum function and all the while making the space beautiful, will have you enjoying the space all season long and into the fall.
#1 Paint - Paint is not just for the interiors! Grab cans of paint and get to work on the exterior painting the shutters and/or the full home for a quick fix to increase the curb appeal.
#2 Outdoor Decor - Now is the time, to update that outdoor space you’ve been putting off for far too long. Start small - assess what you currently have on deck and make a list of what is missing/what needs to be updated.
What is the desired function of your space - lounging, entertaining, kid-friendly spaces?
Think about seating to best fit your needs, incorporate performance fabrics to withstand the mess and sunshine yearlong, and don’t forget to finish off the space with finishing touches that make it feel like home!
#3 Don’t forget lighting! - I like to think of lighting as a key accessory in the home, and the exterior is no exception. There’s no better way to improve the ambiance of an outdoor space than with a variety a different lighting options - increasing the visibility at night, while adding ambiance!
